Is it possible to scam eBay & PayPal?

Is it possible for someone to scam eBay & PayPal?

I mean surely someone could create several legitimate accounts, operate them for a while and get them in good standing. Then, after making multiple sales, transfer and withdraw all of the funds and never ship the items.

Does anyone know how the scammers do it and what security features PayPal and eBay have in place to prevent it?

I believe it could be done but only with an established account, I believe new accounts have the 21 day hold where you have to provide tracking showing delivery and wait 3 days after that or wait the full 21 days.

With an established account you woudln't have the hold but why burn up an established account you could make more money with for a one time cashout.

I think the biggest scam out there is buyers who know how to work the system and know uneducated sellers who send items over $250 without tracking and signature is automatically means thye get their money back or buyers who know how to work the system taking advantage of loopholes and selers who dont cover their butts

Interesting. Over the Christmas holidays, I ordered several things including 3 items that arrived damaged. Only one of the 3 sellers initiated a claim with the shipping company and even the shipping company didn't even inspect the item. I can see how some buyers could milk the system.

Hi, I'm Tracy.  Brand new here and only meant to look around, but I see I'm not going to be able to resist sharing info on at least a couple topics.

Type "ebay stealth" into google or youtube & there is VAST information about your original topic, along with a bunch of other stuff you probably had never thought of.  : )
